Our first ever Easter Egg hunt at Bicton Botanical Gardens!

Bicton Botanical Gardens near Exeter hosted the first ever Dream-A-Way / Express & Echo We Care
Easter Egg hunt on Wednesday 15th April.

Bicton Gardens Flowerbed A mixture of disabled people and carers enjoyed a great day out including coach to and from Bicton, Easter Eggs, lunch, an Easter Egg hunt, train rides, oh and did we mention Easter Eggs?

The Bicton Park Botanical Gardens are spectacular grounds spread over 63 acres including a Palm House and Orangery Restaurant.

There is also a mini-golf course, park train and a nature trail.

The day was funded by the Express & Echo's We Care Campaign, which seeks to provide support and assistance to carers.

Dream-A-Way has close links with the We Care campaign, as we administer the fund on behalf of the Express & Echo. This gave both groups the opportunity to get together and provide a great day out for both carers, and those they care for.

"Sometimes it's just getting a break from the norm that makes all the difference, and this trip has certainly done that!" said one carer.
