2008 Annual MITIE / Dream-A-Way Golf Classic
Woodbury Park, 12th September 2008
Thirty three teams took part in the annual MITIE / Dream-A-Way Golf Classic at Woodbury Park on one of this years most glorious summer days.
The teams competed on a superbly prepared Oaks Championship course. The winning team with a score of 92 points were the Okey Dokeys from Okehampton Golf Club, winning a golfing holiday compliments of the Andalusian Tourist Board, the JFS Trophy and Crystal Ice buckets.
The individual lady winner was Kath Davidson from Telent with 38 points. Kath won a Woodbury Park package and MITIE Crystal.
Leading male was Phil Tavener of Speedy Hire with a score of 43 points, winning the MITIE cup and a flatscreen TV donated by Eurosat Distribution.
In the evening the golfers were entertained by Anthony Laye, a local magician, and Claude, the comedy French waiter.
Through the generosity of our main sponsor the MITIE group,
combined with other sponsors and golfers on the day we raised a magnificent total in excess of
£14,500
