Chairman - Jeff Merrett MBE

I am extremely proud to have been the Chairman and Trustee of Dream-A-Way since the beginning.
When we started Dream-A-Way in 1993 we never imagined how successful we would be.

Fundraising has almost reached one million pounds and we have helped almost 10,000 local people to enjoy a day trip, visit or holiday. All without any honoraria or expenses being paid to any committee member or trustee.

This has only been made possible by the support of a small but very hard working committee and the generosity of our many sponsors and supporters.

Why not help us to help even more special people by joining our Friends of Dream-A-Way group?

Vice Chair & Secretary - Robert Beer MCMI

I am proud to be a founder member and Trustee of Dream-A-Way. I am also the Vice Chairman and Secretary.

To be able to help people who are in need of holidays and respite from difficult times is so rewarding to me.

I am also very proud that DAW can still boast that 99p in every £1 raised is used directly on purchasing holidays and outings for disabled people.

Events Co-Ordinator & Trustee - Gill Freeman

I enjoy organizing and arranging fundraising events for Dream-A-Way.

I have been involved in the annual golf day events which are proving highly successful.

Dream-A-Way does so much good work to help disabled people and I love being part of this organization.

I am currently organising the Dragon Boat Race Event.

Committee Member - Kate Agraolaya

I joined Dream-A-Way because I enjoy helping people help themselves. My family and friends have always been strong supporters of Dream-A-Way.

Jeff asked me initially to help on the Ball committee, and then later to join as an official committee member.

I am delighted to be associated with a charity which gives so much joy to so many people in the local area.

Committee Member - Debbie Bent (co-opted until AGM)

I have been a supporter of Dream-A-Way for several years and so have seen how the charity helps a lot of people. 

The Committee work very hard to raise vital funds and I felt I would like to join them in this. 

Jeff asked me to join the Ball Committee for this year and hopefully that will lead to me becoming a full Committee Member at the AGM in July.

I joined Dream-A-Way because I have personal experience of the joy of helping special people.

I am the Dream-A-Way treasurer and a trustee. These roles give me great pleasure, and allow me to use my skills to benefit others.

As Treasurer I am pleased to confirm that 99p in every £1 is used for the benefit of others.

I have been involved with Dream-A-Way in one way or another since its beginning.

About 6 years ago I became a member of the Committee and more recently a Trustee.

Dream-A-Way continues to go from strength to strength because of the wonderful support we receive from so many people. This means we are able to make a difference to the lives of more and more people of all ages, and I am very proud to be a part of it.

Being a member of the Dream-A-Way committee is an excellent way of joining in with a group of people who enjoy helping others.

I have helped on many trips and holidays and particularly remember a wonderful few days we had with a coach of disabled people in Blackpool.

I have been involved in Dream-A-Way events for several years now, and was invited to join the committee in 2006.

I enjoy the challenges presented to me, and the satisfaction I get from helping those less fortunate than myself is extremely rewarding.

Alongside my role as a committee member, I am the Dream-A-Way IT & Website
co-ordinator. This role gives me the opportunity to ensure all our visitors, friends and sponsors are kept up-to-date whilst sharing in celebrating Dream-A-Way's successes.

I am proud to be associated with this excellent charity and its wonderful people.

I have been aware of the great work carried out locally by the Dream- A- Way team over the last few years. I was delighted when Jeff asked me if I would like to join the committee and I am proud to be part of such a worthwhile charity.

I was recently asked to take over from Cath Watson as Dream Dream-A-Way's voluntary Press Officer, and I am honoured to have been chosen for this role.

I have been a supporter of Dream-A-Way for several years and decided that I wanted to do more. Even though I was already a Friend of Dream-A-Way, I felt that joining the committee would enable me to do a bit more to support this great charity.

Committee Member - Adrian Robinson

I have worked professionally with Jeff for the last two and half years and his dedication to support the special people of the South West inspired me to become involved with Dream-A-Way. Having recently joined the committee I look forward to working with a great mix of people putting smiles on peoples faces.
